How do I use it?
Pull the safety pin at the bottom, press the start button, and aim at the fire. It sprays for 10 to 15 seconds and reaches 10 to 12 ft.
What kinds of fires is it for?
It is designed for Type A, B and C fires: ordinary materials like wood, paper and fabric, flammable liquids, and electrical equipment.
Does it need maintenance?
No. It is not pressurized, so there is nothing to check or recharge. The shelf life is 4 years. Replace it after use or when it reaches the end of its shelf life.
Can I use it more than once?
No. It is a one-time-use device. Once it has been discharged, replace it.
Does it replace a standard fire extinguisher?
No. Keep the extinguishers your building, vehicle or boat is required to carry. The Portable is a light, compact extra to keep within reach.
Where should I keep it?
Anywhere a small fire could start: a car or truck cab, an RV, a boat, a kitchen drawer, a garage or a workbench. The mounting bracket is included.
